Introduction

Luminosit (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a small, independent site about light and illumination science — photometry, lumens, lux and candela, colour temperature, luminous efficacy, and practical lighting design. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have when you use our calculators and articles at www.luminosit.com.

Information We Do Not Collect

The lighting calculators are built so that the numbers you enter stay on your device:

• Calculator inputs: lumen and lux values, wattages, luminous intensity in candela, room length, width and mounting height, distances, energy prices, and running hours are all processed in your browser and are not transmitted to, stored by, or visible to us.
• No accounts or profiles:we don’t ask you to register, and we don’t build a profile of your activity across sessions.
• No cross-site tracking of our own:we don’t follow your browsing around the web. Third-party advertising, described below, is the exception you can control.

Information We Do Collect

Email and messages:when you email us or use our contact form, we collect your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you, and we never sell it. If you don’t contact us, we never have it.

Basic technical data:like most websites, our server and service providers record standard technical information — browser type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, and a truncated or anonymized IP address — to keep the site running, secure, and fast. These logs are kept only as long as needed for operations and security, then discarded.

How We Use Information

These links do not require any personal information from you and do not change what we collect; the retailer handles its own checkout and privacy practices.

Luminosit is intended for a general audience interested in lighting and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
